Hey there! Let’s make this fun…
Here’s the story of me, one question at a time.

Remember the good old days when you spent the afternoon filling out those email surveys, then sending them to all of your friends (and enemies) so that you didn’t wind up with seven years bad luck or whatever? Well, I decided to kick it back to one of those instead of droning on in a traditional, boring About Me page.

Name/Nickname: Lori. And omg…have I aged out of nicknames? My best friend calls me Best Bitch or BB for short, but I’m not your best bitch, so let’s not.

Location: Based in Tulsa, but my creative energy is at large and roaming.

Occupation: I wear many hats: writer, creativity coach, podcast host, content marketer, teaching artist, and yoga teacher. I’ve also got some exciting things in the works for 2025. Basically, I help people get unstuck and create boldly.

Describe Yourself in Three Words: Grounded, rebellious, and messy.

Biggest Creative Influence: Nothing inspires me more than a deadline. But a messy desk, a strong drink, and an open notebook are my mainstays.

Current Obsession: Unfucking my approach to creativity—and thinking about how movement and creativity work together.

First Thing I Do Every Morning: Open the blinds, give Joan Didion (my cat) some good-girl treats, pour coffee, and log in for the Morning Writing Club.

Favorite Excuse to Not Write Today: “My coffee hasn’t kicked in yet.”

Most Likely to Be Found: Writing essays, thinking about creativity, and sipping something strong.

Signature Drink: I wish I had a signature drink! Sometimes it’s wine, sometimes bourbon, or a martini. But it’s always black coffee in the morning.

What’s On My Desk Right Now: I rarely work at my desk, so it’s pretty clean. My ottoman, though? Stacked with printed pages, books, notebooks, too many pens to count, and cat toys.

Fun Fact: At the end of the bar exam, the booklet said, “If you finish early, go back and check your work.” I wrote, “Don’t tell me what to do”—and I’ve never looked back.

Favorite Part of My Job: Helping writers embrace the mess and create boldly—whether through workshops, yoga, or 1:1 coaching.

Enough about me—what’s your big, bold idea? Let’s bring it to life.
